There is a new local hangout in the Woodlawn neighborhood. It is called the Flamingo Lounge. This place is a gem! I am glad that I found it! I wanted to get in and capture the flavor before it goes electric.
This place has the feeling of a Tom Waits song. It is both comfortable and gritty. Good things turn up in the Flamingo Lounge. I had the opportunity last evening to sample some of the local flavor. Since it is located in Portland, Oregon, Beervania to some, I sampled a couple of brews. One from The Widmer Brothers, a Dark Saison. It was delicious. I also had a Terminal Gravety IPA from Enterprise Oregon.
Great tasting beers are being produced here in Oregon. Drinking them in The Flamingo Lounge made it all the better!
